Escape Complete

At midday today i finally followed in the footsteps of Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers almodt 50 years to the day and escaped Alcatraz. I was up at 0330, I swam for what felt like miles from the Rock into San Francisco, I cycled the most beautiful (mainly vertical) 18 miles and then ran a similarly stunning (and also mainly vertical) 8 miles.

This bling is probably the most hard won that I have ever had placed over my head. It is also very chunky and very shiny! And I look like a lobster.

Since the end of the race I have been mainly asleep. And now I am going back to sleep.
